Pastor’s Thoughts Are you enjoying Kingdom life? In an ever changing world driven by sin, lust, and selfishness, I am finding life in the Kingdom to be more satisfying than ever. I have an inner peace and contentment for I know that my King, Jesus Christ, has not only forgiven my sin and given me eternal life, but He is committed to be involved with my daily journey. The Lord has made full provision for each and every person who chooses to be a citizen of His Kingdom. He provides enabling grace for each task He gives. His Spirit is readily available to teach and guide us in God’s divine will for our life. He comforts us when the world opposes us, He is our refuge and shelter when the storms of life howl, and He has surrounded us with a loving family called the Church of God. With every trial and temptation He makes the way of escape that we can bear it. When the relentless forces of evil seem to be gaining ground, He reminds us that this world is not our home. Oh what hope I have as I reign with Christ Jesus. Yes, I said reign! I no longer have to bow to sin’s device because the King within me is greater than the demons in which surround me. I have been lifted out of the miry clay, my foundation is sure, and I need not fear sin or it wages anymore! With the authority of God’s word and the power of His Holy Spirit I claim my victory! The song writers state, “What have I to dread, What have I to fear, Leaning on the everlasting arms”? “Oh how wonderful, O how marvelous, is my Savior’s love for me!” My Savior is eternal, Jesus will forever be my King, His Kingdom is without end and I know in who I trust. So, I have decided to follow Jesus, and if none go with me, I still will follow Him with rejoicing. Some folks have never seen the Kingdom of God, many have not entered because they refuse to be born of God Spirit, and yet others only get sprinkled with showers of God’s blessings. I have been immersed in God’s love and savor the journey that will one day bring me face to face with the one who opened the door and invited me to be a heir to eternal life!
