Pastor’s Thoughts
“It is always morning somewhere in the world.” Those words are found in an inscription on an old sun dial on the pier at Brighton, England. Wherever people awaken to a new day, they need not doubt the arrival of a fresh new morning at the appointed hour. God has provided the coming and going of the daylight hours, and He never fails day after day to bring the dawn and sunrise.
Friends, armies, governments, banks, and crops, even our own heart may fail, but Christ is still the hope of righteousness on earth. In Christ there is hope for every man, whether for sickness or health, joy or sorrow, failure or success, and He even provides hope for the sinner as well as the saint. He is the hope of the church, the hope of the nations, the hope for righteous government and for universal peace. “We … rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.”
Hope with a gentle persuasion
Whispers her comforting word;
Wait till the darkness is over,
Wait till the tempest is done,
Hope for the sunshine tomorrow
After the shower is gone.

Each new morning beings to us an opportunity not only to simply live another day it also affords us the opportunity to live that day with abundant life found in a close walk with God.
Ps 5:3
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning,
O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee,
and will look up.
