Pastor’s Thoughts

One blessing I truly enjoy is reading the beautifully written Christian tidbits that show up on Facebook or are sent to me by email. They remind me of the inspirational thoughts you see in a Hallmark Card for those of you who are wondering what’s Facebook or what’s email. When I read something about our Heavenly Father my heart and mind are drawn away from the cares of this life if only for a moment. It is always good to have our focus placed God.

Here is the thought that comes to my mind and that I want to share in this article, someone took the time to compose those tidbits. There are thousands of beautiful Christian’s thoughts floating around out there in cyberspace. It reminds me of just how big God’s family really is.

It requires time, meditation, prayer, and passion for God on the part of each writer to produce each article. They could spend their time playing computer games, golfing, fishing, shopping or a thousand other things in which others find pleasure.  Why do they work so hard to produce an inspiring thought for others to enjoy?

I’ve noticed in most cases the author’s name isn’t even attached to the thoughts that are being shared, so certainly their motive isn’t to gain recognition or to satisfy personal pride. They are free, hardly ever copy write protected like so many gospel songs today that are written for entertain, therefore it is obvious to me they are not being produced to earn wealth. Could it be, in a self consuming culture like ours, that God still has a church that simply loves Him and want to spend time and give Him praise for what they discover while in His presence?

I say yes there is!!! God still has a church that has not become so entangled and preoccupied with the cares of this world that they have no time for Him. God has a church in which continues to find great pleasure in simply being in His presence. God still has children which for the joy and love that they hold for Him, express their praise freely and gracefully. Please be inspired to find time to be alone with God! Out of that time will flow rivers of pleasure.

Praising Jesus,

Pastor Danny
